The 78 Corridor is home to three of the top visited destinations in San Diego County – LEGOLAND California Resort, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Stone Brewing Co. Coupled with miles of beaches and hiking trails, more than 40 breweries, wineries and distilleries, 24 golf courses and 178 miles of trails, the 78 Corridor is a destination unto itself.

Because of the volume of tourism, it’s no wonder the 78 Corridor economy thrives on visitors to the region each year. Whether it’s a family vacation or a company retreat, the 78 Corridor has all the amenities necessary for a successful trip.

Industry highlights:

  • The San Diego Convention Center alone has contributed $22.9 billion to the regional economy since its opening in 1989.
  • In 2012, San Diego attracted nearly 32.3 million visitors who spent nearly $8 billion at various San Diego businesses throughout their stay.
  • San Diego International Airport (SAN) serves more than 17 million passengers annually.
