WHAT WE DO

Vesper Vineyards makes wines that showcase the many growing climates in San Diego County. We work closely with our growers to make wines with minimal intervention, showcasing the growing season and site of each vineyard. We aim to help farmers kept farming profitable and viable in San Diego County by encouraging them to plant vineyard that are sustainably farmed and in many cases dry farmed (no irrigation).

We are different than your typical winery, we are an urban winery – meaning we are located in a non agricultural setting. Our winery is located in an industrial park, we focus on the winemaking not the frills.

WHY WE CHOSE THE 78 CORRIDOR

We specifically chose our location at the end of the 78 Corridor where it meets the 15 for the ease of access to both our growers and our consumers. Our location makes us a quick 30 minutes trip from downtown San Diego or 30 minutes from the coast for consumers. Our location is also in centrally located area to our growers which is essential when it is harvest season. When harvesting grapes time is of the essence and being centrally located was to multiple agricultural growing regions was essential.

WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS

Being on the 78 Corridor means quick trips for supplies, materials and a quick meal. From Mira Costa College at one end offering education to the many breweries and other businesses along the corridor we have quick access to what we need within a short trip.

FIVE YEARS FROM NOW...

I envision our company continues to grow in our direct to consumers business through our tasting room. That going wine tasting in an industrial park is as accepted and common as it is to go to a brewery in an industrial park today. With all the alcohol and food businesses along the 78 I can envision an urban trial of beer, wine and food.
