Leading breweries like Mother Earth, Lost Abbey, Pizza Port and Stone Brewing Co. have helped pave the way for San Diego’s exploding craft brew scene, where visitors can hop from breweries and pubs, to restaurants, wineries and local bars, tasting the best the region has to offer.

Industry highlights:

• North County’s craft beer industry supports 1,700 jobs and generates $185 million in total annual sales.
• San Diego breweries dominated the 2015 Great American Beer Festival with 18 awards won and six just from the 78 Corridor, including best very small brewery, Rip Current Brewing Co.
• The 78 Corridor, referred to as “Hops Highway,” serves as a popular route to visit a third of San Diego County’s breweries with 30 percent located in the city of Vista.
