Cheers to five years of SIP Wine & Beer

Since its founding in 2015, SIP Wine & Beer has created a unique space for thousands of North County residents to empower, inspire and exchange knowledge with one another while enjoying delicious wine and beer from women and BIPOC-owned winemakers and brewers across the country.

Founder and CEO Cassandra Schaeg grew up in nearby Temecula and watched the local agricultural industry transform the community into a renowned wine destination. As she laid roots in just-south Escondido, Cassandra immersed herself in the community and strived to create a platform to encourage thought-provoking conversations between her taste room visitors while selling and celebrating wine and beer crafted by women and women of color.

To commemorate SIP Wine & Beer’s five-year anniversary, Cassandra is hosting Fresh Glass Fest—a celebration of women and BIPOC trailblazers in the wine, beer and spirits industry. The event will be hosted on July 18 from 11:00am-5:00pm at The California Center for the Arts in Escondido and feature live music, wine tastings, Maya’s Cookies, lawn games and a very special announcement. You can also engage with SIP Wine & Beer through Instagram and by subscribing to the WineVersations YouTube channel to hear stories from people moving the needle in politics, entrepreneurship and social justice.

Since its founding, SIP Wine & Beer has inspired North County residents from all walks of life and challenged them to explore the complexities, challenges and beauty to be found in conversations they hold over a glass of wine. The 78 Corridor is proud to be home to SIP Wine & Beer and looks forward to many more years of impact, community and achievements. Cheers, North County!
